The 12th Annual Gala Auction to benefit Tockwotton Home is
being held to benefit the organization’s assisted living housing subsidy program, the Eliza B. Rogers Fund. Last year, more than $78,000 was raised at the event to help seniors with limited resources obtain care at the non-profit, five-star Medicare community.
Local philanthropists and generous businesses have stepped forward with more than 50 auction prizes, ranging from a selection of Hasbro Toys to a six-day African safari for two at the Zulu Nyala Game Lodge in northern South Africa. Other headlining live auction prizes include a 12-person classic New England clambake (complete with lobsters, steamers, sausage and chowder) at the location of the winner’s choice, and two tickets to a private luxury box and a catered meal at historic Fenway Park.
Tickets to the Tockwotton auction are $75 each or $125 for VIP admission (includes open bar and preferred seating). Both tickets include dinner and can be purchased online at tockwotton.org or by calling Denise Todd at 401.272.5280.
The non-profit Tockwotton Home (www.tockwotton.org) has been serving seniors in the Greater Providence area since 1856 and will be relocating to a new 156-room private assisted living and memory care, rehabilitation and skilled nursing care residence in East Providence, called Tockwotton on the Waterfront. Offering qualified and compassionate care for generations of Rhode Island seniors, Tockwotton is a five-star Medicare community
