1st Annual Veterans Inc Indoor Half-Marathon & Marathon Relay

Race proceeds benefit the expansion of Veterans Inc. to New Britain, CT. The new addition offers the highest quality services for veterans including transitional housing, counseling, and case management. Veterans Inc. is the largest provider of veterans services in New England. Their mission is to eliminate homelessness among veterans and have assisted more than 50,000 veterans and their families since 1990.

Each runner will receive complementary tickets to the Hartford Whales vs Springfield Falcons hockey game that night. On-ice recognition to winners during 2nd period intermission. All finishers will receive medals and special awards will be given in many categories.

Both races will be chip timed and lap counted on the climate controlled XL Center concourse. The Half-Marathon is 40 laps (13.1 miles) and the Marathon relay is 80 laps (26.2 miles). There will be a separate warm-up area and on-course hydration stations for runners.

Spectator seating will be along the concourse to allow for safe and comfortable viewing. There will be a DJ and concessions will be sold by the XL Center during the event.
