38 Studios assets hit auction block in Maryland

TIMONIUM, Md. – Assets from 38 Studios LLC’s Big Huge Games are being auctioned off today as part of the company’s bankruptcy.

Items ranging from computer towers to a coffee machine, flat screen televisions and a pool table were available for auction, according to the Associated Press.

Former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling’s failed video game company is selling all its assets in separate auctions.

Following today’s Maryland auction, the company is planning an auction on Oct. 23 at 10:30 a.m. in front of its Empire Street office in Providence.

A separate auction will be held to sell off the company’s intellectual property, including the unfinished “massively multiplayer online game” titled Project Copernicus, the news source reported.
