The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra will fill The Vets Saturday with the music of classical composers and the voice of mezzo soprano Susan Lorette Dunn. During a program called “Symphonic Masterworks: Jeremiah & The Great,” the orchestra will feature Leonard Bernstein’s “Symphony No. 1 (Jeremiah),” Franz Schubert’s “Symphony No. 9 in C major, D.944 (“The Great”)” in addition to the world premiere of “Waterplace Park” by the Philharmonic’s Gregory Fritze. Fritze is the first member of the orchestra to be commissioned as a composer. An informal talk about the concert program will take place in the auditorium prior to the concert from 7 to 7:25 p.m.
