AAA: R.I. gas prices fall for 13th week, average price $1.75

PROVIDENCE – For the 13th consecutive week, gasoline prices have fallen in Rhode Island, AAA Northeast said Monday.
AAA said the cost of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline fell another 2 cents, to $1.75 per gallon. Rhode Island’s price is 1 cent below the national average for regular unleaded at $1.76. A year ago at this time, the average price in Rhode Island was 63 cents higher at $2.38.
Prices in the Ocean State range from $1.64 to $1.84, with midgrade unleaded at $2.04; premium unleaded at $2.17 and diesel, $2.
In Massachusetts, gasoline prices also fell another 2 cents, averaging $1.69 for regular, self-serve unleaded. Prices in the Bay State have fallen for the 12th consecutive week.

The Massachusetts price is 7 cents below the national average for regular unleaded. A year ago, the average price in Massachusetts was 69 cents higher at $2.38.
Prices in Massachusetts range from $1.55 to $1.89, with midgrade unleaded at $2.06; premium unleaded at $2.22; and diesel, $2.08.
