AAA: Gas prices unchanged in R.I., Mass.

PROVIDENCE – Gasoline prices are unchanged from last week in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, according to AAA Northeast.

In Rhode Island, prices of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline again is averaging $2.70 per gallon, ending six consecutive weeks of increases. Locally, prices still are 9 cents higher than a month ago, but $1.01 less than they were a year ago. The price also is 6 cents less than the national average.

Prices range from $2.52 to $2.89. Other grades of gasoline are as follows: $2.90, midgrade unleaded; $3.05, premium unleaded; and $2.99, diesel.
In Massachusetts, self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline is averaging $2.67. Prices are 6 cents higher than a month ago, and 9 cents less than the national average. A year ago, Massachusetts’ average price was $3.65.
Prices in Massachusetts are as follows: $2.86, midgrade unleaded; $2.99, premium unleaded; and $2.99, diesel.
