AAA: Gas prices unchanged in R.I., Mass.

PROVIDENCE – Gasoline prices are unchanged from a week ago in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, according to AAA Northeast.
The weekly survey of gas prices revealed that the average price of self-serve, unleaded regular in the Ocean State remained at $2.18 per gallon, while it stayed at $2.10 per gallon in the Bay State.
A year ago, the price of unleaded regular in Rhode Island was $2.25, while it was $2.19 in Massachusetts. The national average price this week is $2.21 per gallon, putting both states below the national average.
Other grades of fuel were reported to have the following average prices:

  • Rhode Island: midgrade unleaded, $2.45 per gallon; premium unleaded, $2.66 per gallon, diesel, $2.39 per gallon
  • Massachusetts: midgrade unleaded, $2.37 per gallon; premium unleaded, $2.52 per gallon; diesel, $2.34 per gallon
