AHA announces its 2017 Go Red For Women Luncheon

PROVIDENCE – The American Heart Association announced that Adrienne and Stephanie Vendetti, founders of the “How to be a Redhead” lifestyle and beauty brand, will be keynote speakers at the organization’s Go Red For Women Luncheon, which is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 17 at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

The 2017 luncheon program will feature a “Red Hot Conversation” with WJAR-TV NBC 10’s Alison Bologna and Adrienne and Stephanie Vendetti, sisters who will show that wearing red can be empowering and inspirational. Best friends and natural redheads who were raised in Cranston, the sisters co-founded HowtobeaRedhead.com and are authors of the recently released “How to be a Redhead.”

As natural redheads, Adrienne and Stephanie struggled to find beauty and fashion items that cater to young, trendy red-headed women. Over the years, they learned to master all of the complementary redhead techniques. They created HowtobeaRedhead.com for redheads to celebrate a redhead’s beauty, in both the fashion and beauty sector. Their phrase, “Rock it like a Redhead,” is the tag line for their articles and social media photos. According to the AHA statement, the sisters’ grandmother’s death from heart disease in 2003 was motivation for the entire family to begin living a healthier lifestyle.

The Go Red For Women Luncheon is the premier women’s annual event focusing on cardiovascular health in Southern New England and a cornerstone piece of the American Heart Association Go Red movement. Focusing on raising awareness and urging action to prevent or survive the leading health threats to all women – heart disease and stroke, the luncheon is nationally sponsored by Macy’s and celebrates women’s energy, passion and power to come together to eliminate heart disease and stroke while living longer, stronger and more heart-healthy lives.
