A.T. Wall expands Metalform offerings

WARWICK – Engineered manufacturing solutions company A.T. Wall announced last week that its Metalform gun-magazine manufacturing facility has expanded to add resistance welding, spot welding, and robotic plasma welding equipment designed to increase production at least 10 percent.
The improved Metalform production line allows for deep-drawing, stamping and pistol magazine fabrication for .38-caliber, .45-caliber and 9-millimeter magazines. With the addition of new resistance welders, Metalform can improve strength and quality of its welded base magazines, the company said.
Metalform expects the increased production and decreased maintenance requirements on its products will free up engineering time, which it will use for new product development, including additions to its magazine portfolio.
A.T. Wall is a subsidiary of ATW Companies, a Warwick-based provider of engineered metal components to customers worldwide, which operates manufacturing facilities in California, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
