Afonso named to Utilidata board of directors

PROVIDENCE – Paul G. Afonso recently was named to Utilidata’s board of directors.
Afonso is the former chairman of the Massachusetts Public Utilities Commission.
“With 20 years of experience, and noted expertise in regulatory policies and energy-related legislation, his addition to the board reflects the importance we place on helping our customers navigate regulatory requirements and opportunities and bring their projects to scale. Paul’s leadership and advice will be instrumental as Utilidata continues to grow nationally and maintain our market leadership position,” Scott E. DePasquale, chairman and CEO of Utilidata, said in a statement.

Afonso is co-practice leader of Brown Rudnick’s Energy, Utilities and Environmental Group, and Boston Government Law and Strategies Group. He also serves as chairman of the Boston Water and Sewer Commission and as an advisory board member of Braemar Energy Ventures.
