Alert Solutions launches School Announcement 4.0

CRANSTON – Alert Solutions announced Monday the release of School Announcement 4.0, the latest version of the company’s Web-based alert and messaging technology for K-12 schools and school districts.
School Announcement gives school administrators the ability to communicate with students’ families and staff efficiently and reliably via social media, email, voice and text messaging. Version 4.0 offers users new features, including a comprehensive mobile command center, social media integration and a weather tool for severe weather monitoring.

School Announcement’s new mobile command feature allows users to send messages out directly from their mobile phones. School administrators can launch and monitor their social media pages, email, voice and text messages wherever they are, drastically improving emergency response time, according to Alert Solutions.
Schools will also be able to make faster and more informed decisions regarding weather-related closings and delays with the new weather monitor, a feature that automatically sends administrators alerts of severe weather approaching their school or district.
Additional features of School Announcement 4.0 include the SIS Integration Tool, which creates a seamless daily update cycle between a school’s student information system and School Announcement, as well as “Speak Up!,” an anonymous two-way communication platform for event safety and bullying and harassment prevention.
