CRANSTON – Jewelry maker Alex and Ani LLC is replacing its chief financial officer and adding six new senior executives as part of a 250-employee national expansion, the company announced Monday.

Former CFO David Rozen, who served in the position for a year, has “left to pursue other opportunities,” according to a press release, and will be replaced by Jayne Fitzpatrick-Conway.

Fitzpatrick-Conway was formerly CFO at Circa Brands Inc., a global buyer and reseller of previously owned goods; Planet Fitness LLP; and Gulf Oil. She is scheduled to start June 23.

The bulk of the 250 new positions at Alex and Ani, some 180, will be in retail, to support nationwide store expansion, said company spokesman Gregg Perry. They include both full- and part-time work.

  • Tarik Chaudhary, senior vice president of information technology.
  • Igor Bekker, vice president of e-commerce.
  • Mary Beth Schneider, vice president and deputy general counsel of corporate operations.

  1. I find the reporting on this story to be lacking in the “Entire Story” department. Nice coverage of the CFO’s who are impacted by the restructuring and it looks great on paper that 250 “new hires” are created, but how about getting your story to include the workers who were “let go” with no attempt to re-employ them into one of those 250 new jobs. This is more of a PR story to make Alex & Ani look good. I am not buying it nor any of theirr products ever again. So much for peace, hope, & light.
