Amazing Charts outscores other EHRs for usability

NORTH KINGSTOWN – Amazing Charts 7.0, the latest release by electronic health record developer that last month was certified as a 2014 Complete EHR, has achieved an overall score of 82 on the System Usability Scale administered by the Drummond Group’s EHR Office of the National Coordinator.
The score placed Amazing Charts in the top 10 percent of all scores, the company said, and also outpaced the scores of major competitors such as Allscripts (65), the Greenway PRIME suite (81.5) and Practice Fusion (69).
“Our Usability score of 82 demonstrates that we are keeping our system very simple to use even as we add more requirements for Meaningful Use Stage 2,” said John Squire, president and chief operating officer of Amazing Charts. “We believe these ratings provide an important guide to those who are looking to adopt their first EHR, or are tired of an EHR with poor usability.”
In addition, the EHR Usability Test Report of Amazing Charts Version 7.0 found that:

  • 94 percent of users found Amazing Charts Version 7.0 to be easy to use.
  • 89 percent of users said they felt confident using the new 2014 Certified version of Amazing Charts.
  • Participants achieved 90 to 100 percent “success” rates for individual tasks using Amazing Charts 7.0 with few exceptions.
  • Task completion times were well within expected ranges and most tasks using Amazing Charts 7.0 were completed in under a minute.
