In conjunction with RISD's exhibition, "America in View: Landscape Photography 1865 to Now," American Century Music will present “Three Points for String Quartet," a program of American chamber music. The concert features three string quartets from the American Century: Amy Beach's String Quartet op. 89 (1929), Peter Mennin's Quartet No. 2 (1951), and Philip Glass' String Quartet No. 4 "Buczak" (1989). Performers include violinists Katherine Winterstein and Charles Dimmick, Mark Berger, Viola, and David Russell, Cello. ACM Artistic and Executive Director Scott Parkman will provide spoken commentary during the performance highlighting connections between the program and RISD's exhibition. Concert is free with museum admission and free to RISD members.
