American Nurses Association Rhode Island to host Hunt at annual meeting

PROVIDENCE – The American Nurses Association Rhode Island, formerly the Rhode Island State Nurses Association, will hold its annual business meeting at the Providence Marriott downtown from 3 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 26. Kelly Hunt, former president of the National Student Nurses Association, will serve as the keynote speaker at the event, presenting “The Evolution of a Nurse Leader.”
Hunt holds a BSN in nursing from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla., and currently works as a registered nurse at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, Calif. Nursing was a career change for Hunt. Prior to attending nursing school, she was a manager and corporate trainer for Starbucks Coffee Co. for close to 10 years.
Registration for the business meeting and dinner is $70, and registration for the meeting, dinner and two educational programs (worth two CEUs) is $110. Registration details can be found online.
The American Nurses Association Rhode Island, a constituent member of the American Nurses Association, is an authority on matters concerning the profession of nursing and nursing practice in the state of Rhode Island.
