Witness ingenuity at its best as participant’s in Jamestown’s annual Fool’s Rules Regatta scramble to assemble sail boats from nonmarine items. From Volkswagens and dog houses, to hay bales and sand boxes, a multitude of materials have been used in the past to assemble vessels. After construction, the finished products set sail toward the finish line via a downwind course of approximately 500 yards. Awards will be given to top finishers and those with the most ingenious design and worst example of naval architecture.
