Why did you select your profession?
I choose social work and public health because they are the two professions I am very passionate about and match my personal philosophies.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever been given?
Follow your passion. If you love what you do and focus on doing it extremely well, everything else will come together.

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
I would tell her not to second-guess her skill, talent or self-worth. I would also tell her to be more bold, confident and assertive.

How do you keep a work-life balance?
It is a constant struggle. … I always remind myself to strive to keep that balance because I know that I am less productive when things aren’t balanced.

What one thing in your professional life would you like a do-over on?
I have no regrets. I believe everything happens for a reason and all my experiences have shaped me into who I am today. Well, maybe I wouldn’t have taken the job telemarketing. I was a really bad phone salesperson. •
