WEST WARWICK – The Arpin Charitable Fund, also known as Arpin Strong, has raised more than $37,000 and donated to 36 charitable and medical organizations, according to its 2014 year-end report.
Mark Dearborn, president of Arpin Strong and vice president of corporate accounts for the Arpin Group, said the fund has nearly tripled its gifts since it started with 13 in 2013.
Throughout the past year, Arpin Strong has conducted theme days, monthly raffles, and supported the efforts of Arpin’s Race Team to raise funds. Its largest single fundraising event, the First Annual Arpin Strong Golf Tournament, raised more than $17,000 for charity.
Some of the organizations to receive assistance from Arpin Strong in 2014 are the American Heart Association; the Boys & Girls Club; Family Services of RI; the American Cancer Society; Habitat for Humanity; Make a Difference Foundation; One Fund/Boston Marathon; Operation Stand Down; Save The Bay; the Tomorrow Fund; Rhode Island Community Food Bank; Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure and
Wreaths Across America.
“We are incredibly proud of Arpin Strong’s achievements during our first full year,” said Dearborn.
“We owe this success to the Arpin employees and agents who have come together to rally behind each of our charitable causes. I continue to be overwhelmed by their spirit and enthusiasm.”
The Arpin Group is the parent-holding company of Arpin Van Lines, Arpin International Group, Creative Storage Solutions, Arpin Associates and Arpin Renewable Energy. The group of companies’ services center on household goods moving and storage.
