Arpin Group creates disaster-assistance campaign

WEST WARWICK – Arpin Group has created an ongoing campaign that provides support to areas in the United States and around the world that have fallen victim to disaster. Arpin Strong works to provide financial support in response to tragedy by participating in and holding events to collect donations and emergency supplies.
“Arpin Strong’s vision is to help those in need in the aftermath of disasters by raising money via community-based projects and events,” said Arpin Vice President Mark Dearborn. “In doing so, we wish to unite all Arpin employees in the spirit of fellowship and teamwork to support other communities which could use a helping hand.”
Arpin Strong’s first event was in May. The Arpin Strong team participated in the BoldrDash obstacle course in Westerly. The team donated a total of $500 dollars through the event. Overall $1,500 was raised for beach restoration efforts in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy. Arpin Strong’s team dedicated its participation to the victims of the Boston bombing and sent a donation to One Boston as well.
Along with assistance for beach restoration, Arpin Strong has provided support for tornado victims in Oklahoma City. Directed by the Red Cross, Arpin and Cardi’s Furniture collected four truckloads of supplies, including water, energy drinks and bars, diapers and paper towels. Arpin Strong also donated $1,000 to Affiliated Movers of Oklahoma City, money that will be used to support local relief efforts.
Arpin Strong will persist in its charitable efforts and has plans for several upcoming events. On August 25 it will be holding its first 5K run/walk and children’s run. Additionally, each month Arpin Strong will sponsor a private raffle for Arpin employees worldwide.
