Arpin International Group sponsors Wayne Gretzky Ice Hockey Classic

WEST WARWICK – Arpin International Group, a licensed household goods freight forwarder based in East Greenwich, has become the official international freight forwarder of the 2016 Wayne Gretzky Ice Hockey Classic to benefit StopConcussions Foundation, a nonprofit concussion and neurotrauma awareness and education platform.

Bob Sullivan, senior vice president of corporate accounts at Arpin, said, “It is a great honor to not only sponsor the Wayne Gretzky Ice Hockey Classic, but to help support efforts to reduce concussions, so everyone may keep enjoying this sport safely and responsibly.”

A portion of Arpin’s signage as well as the earnings from a raffle of six tickets will be donated by the company to the StopConcussions Foundation.
The five-leg 2016 classic, which began June 17, takes place in cities across Australia and will raise money for StopConcussions in association with Nick Rushwort of Brain Injury Australia. According to the organization brain injury is the greatest cause of disability in persons under age 44, and 10 percent of all contact sport athletes suffer a concussion, of which 19 percent go unreported.
