NEW SHOREHAM – The R.I. State Council on the Arts and the R.I. Airport Corporation have issued a call for artists for the newly created exhibition space at the Block Island Airport in New Shoreham for presentations in 2012-2013.

The exhibition space will present art to local, national and international visitors within three group shows in a 12-month cycle.

Work in all media will be considered for the space, which includes walls and open spaces well suited to small and medium scale works.

All participating artists must be Rhode Island residents and preference may be given to Block Island artists. Artists should e-mail a website link or a Flickr page link with appropriate images, a current cv and an artist’s statement to biairport.risca@gmail.com.

The RISCA is supported by the Rhode Island General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts.
