Astro-Med’s QuickLabel holds ribbon cutting for college lab

Posted 10/24/12

WEST WARWICK – QuickLabel Systems, a brand of Astro-Med Inc., held the ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate its revamped QuickLabel College Lab.

The lab offers training classes for businesses that want to learn how to use their digital label printers to the fullest potential.

The new lab – located at QuickLabel Systems headquarters at 600 East Greenwich Ave. in West Warwick – follows a 10,000-square-foot expansion of the label factory in 2010 and “underscores Astro-Med’s continued commitment to manufacturing in Rhode Island and to providing long-term customer support.”

“This lab is an investment in our customers,” Mark Paul, QuickLabel’s technical support and training manager, said in prepared remarks. “Since 1994, we’ve hosted 319 classes and more than 1,000 students have come through these doors to learn the ins and outs of our products. We look forward to training thousands more.”

QuickLabel’s College instruction lasts two days and any company that purchases a QuickLabel production-capacity digital color label printer is entitled to send two employees free of charge.
