Beta Group Inc., of Lincoln, started small – with three employees in 1982 – and it has continued to grow, taking a leap, for example, in mid-2012, when it acquired the landscape architecture firm Gates, Leighton & Associates, which became a new division of BETA.

For the most part, BETA’s growth – to 145 employees in 2016 – is a consequence of good work and cultivation of ongoing and repeat relationships with its clients.

BETA is an employee-owned planning, engineering and construction services firm that serves private clients as well as governments at every level. The company believes that when employees own a part of the company, they have a vested interest in seeing it grow. Every employee holds shares in proportion with his or her compensation rate.

BETA is a regional leader in the fields of civil engineering, environmental engineering, the environmental sciences geographic information systems, landscape architecture and urban design, structural engineering, and transportation and traffic engineering. n
