Bank RI opens Johnston branch

PROVIDENCE – Bank Rhode Island has opened its new branch in Johnston Towne Center, replacing the former location nearby on Hartford Avenue, which was one of the banks’ original branches.
“The opening of our new branch is very exciting. It’s a project we’ve been working on for a quite to not only support the community, but also to offer our loyal customers an even stronger banking experience,” said Bank RI President and CEO Mark Meiklejohn. “While the address may have changed, we will continue to deliver the same level of expertise and customer service Bank RI is know for.”
The new facility, which opened Oct. 28, offers state-of-the art banking products and services, as well as a spacious customer waiting area and private meeting space. Johnston branch manager is Donna Sangermano.
Bank RI played a major role in the development of the Johnston Towne Centre with the new building as well as the bank’s commercial real estate group providing a $12 million debt financing package to the owner and developer of the site, 1450TC LLC.
