Bank Rhode Island BizHub gets strong response

PROVIDENCE – Bank Rhode Island’s BizHub website has generated a strong response to the resources offered and the spotlight on featured companies in the nine months since it was introduced, according to a June 3 update on the site from the bank.
In the first few months, from the launch of www.BankRIBizHub.com in September 2013 through January 2014, the site averaged 175 page views per month, the bank reported.
A 600 percent increase in page views was recorded from February through May, with an average of 1,014 visits to the site per month.
“As a Bank, we saw the need to develop a site where businesses would have convenient and timely access to banking, financial and related information,” said William Tsonos, BankRI senior vice president and director of commercial banking.
“One of the most telling things we’ve heard is that our lending staff really invests the time to establish real relationships that helps them better understand the specific needs of each client,” said Tsonos. “It’s what sets us apart from other financial institutions.”
In an industry where many financial institutions are hesitant to speak publicly about their customers, BankRIBizHub has been embraced by those eager to share how BankRI’s approach to banking and financial solutions have positively impacted their business, according to the bank.
