Bank Rhode Island opens branch in East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE – Bank Rhode Island executives joined with elected officials last month to celebrate the grand opening of its newest branch in East Providence.
The branch, at 77 Highland Ave., officially opened its doors on Nov. 16. Mark J. Meiklejohn, president and CEO of Bank Rhode Island, calls East Providence an important market for the bank and says he sees “a lot of potential for growth,” in both the city and the surrounding East Bay and Massachusetts communities.
“We are constantly looking at ways to enhance the banking experience for our loyal customers and potential customers, and with this relocation, we’re able to accomplish that on a number of levels,” Meiklejohn said.
The new branch includes the following features:

  • Drive-up ATM
  • Two drive-up transaction lanes
  • Access to the bank’s personal business banking products and services
  • Private office space for individual consultations with financial professions
  • Amy O’Neill is the branch manager.
