BankRI names mortgage specialist

PROVIDENCE – In a move to bolster its home-loan capabilities, Bank Rhode Island has named Stephanie Silva its newest mortgage specialist.
Citing recent home sales statistics showing a nearly 8 percent increase in year-over-year activity, BankRI promoted Silva from bank manager of the bank’s Park Avenue branch in Cranston to assistant vice president, mortgage specialist.
“As we continue to see an uptick in mortgage activity, BankRI is committed to making it easier for customers to purchase or refinance a home through not only a diversified selection of loan products, but also with the guidance of a highly knowledgeable team,” said Brian Kilday, assistant vice president and mortgage specialist team leader. “Stephanie is an invaluable member of that team, and we are thrilled to have her experience and insights working on behalf of our customers.”
Silva will now work out of the BankRI branch at 137 Pitman St. in Providence.
