Barbara Burns

Barbara Burns has been appointed secretary of the board of directors of the James L. Maher Center. Burns joined the Maher Center in 2011 and formerly worked in human resources and marketing for technology corporations. She also serves on the board of directors of Special Olympics Rhode Island. Burns holds a bachelor’s degree in literature and education from the University of Rhode Island. •
