Barnum Financial Group named Firm of the Year

SHELTON, Conn. – Barnum Financial Group, a member of the MetLife Premier Client Group, has been named 2015 Firm of the Year for the eighth and final time before it becomes a part of Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Co.
Connecticut-based Barnum Financial, with more than 230,000 clients in various states including Rhode Island, received the recognition in its 12th and final year with MetLife.

MassMutual recently announced it would acquire the entire MetLife Premier Client Group and its affiliated broker-dealer, MetLife Securities. The transaction is expected to close sometime mid-year pending regulatory approval.
