DARTMOUTH – BayCoast Bank has begun construction on its new branch in the South Dartmouth section of Dartmouth, the bank’s 18th location in the Massachusetts south coast region. A groundbreaking was held at the site on Aug. 14.
The open design concept of the structure includes a technology center where bank staff can assist customers with on-line banking, mobile banking, mobile deposit and bill paying functions. The branch will have an interactive automated teller, also called a virtual teller.
A community conference room will be available to provide after-hours meeting space.
“Our upcoming South Dartmouth location completes the build-out of our greater New Bedford presence,” said BayCoast Bank President and CEO Nicholas Christ. “We are especially excited to offer the Dartmouth and New Bedford communities a wider range of banking opportunities, including technology-forward conveniences and alternatives.”
The building was designed by Jamie Hughes of Vision 3 Architects and construction is by R.P. Valois & Co. The new branch is located at the Big Value Outlet Plaza on South Dartmouth Street.
In addition to its locations in southeastern Massachusetts, BayCoast Bank has a Rhode Island branch in Tiverton.
