BayCoast designated Fit-Friendly Worksite

FALL RIVER – BayCoast Bank has been designated a Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite by the American Heart Association, according to a press release. The bank has been recognized for its commitment to employee fitness and well-being.
BayCoast Bank has also been recognized by the Massachusetts Association of Health Plans, which commended the bank for its utilization of the Tufts Health Plan to provide fitness opportunities for bank employees.
“There are so many good reasons for any employer to recognize the value of fitness. Certainly this helps reduce the cost of healthcare for everyone, but it also results in a more productive and energetic workplace,” said BayCoast Bank Vice President of Human Resources Barbara Tripp. “All businesses surely recognize that their employees and team members are their greatest single asset, and an investment in wellness is something that benefits everyone.”
The bank has formed a wellness committee, created a walking program and established a gym in the Swansea operations center. Yoga and zumba classes and a personal trainer are available to bank employees.
BayCoast Bank has a branch in Tiverton, as well as several locations in southeastern Massachusetts.
