BayCoast gives $5K to Women’s Union

FALL RIVER – BayCoast Bank has contributed $5,000 to the Fall River Women’s Union.
The women’s union is an organization working since 1873 to promote the welfare of women and children.
The contribution made by the Bank to the program’s endowment allows the Women’s Union to continue supporting women and children’s groups in the Fall River area, said Martha Sanford, president of the Women’s Union.
“BayCoast Bank has been a strong supporter of the Fall River Women’s Union in many ways,” Sanford said. “We thank them for helping us to fulfill our mission of assisting women, children and their families.”
Recently, the Women’s Union has provided grants to such groups as the Boys and Girls Club, Girl Scouts of Rhode Island, Star Kids, The Women’s Center, Bristol Community College, YWCA, SSTAR, YMCA, Saint Vincent’s, Citizens for Citizens, The Shepard’s Center, Boy Scouts of America, and The Children’s Museum of Greater Fall River.
Nick Christ, president and CEO of BayCoast Bank, added: “The Women’s Union has long been an honored institution in Fall River. We are glad to support their efforts to improve the lives of women, children and families in this area.”
