Betaspring to hold open hours in Boston on Jan. 9

PROVIDENCE – Betaspring Managing Partner Allan Tear and Chief of Staff Melissa Withers will hold open office hours in Boston on Thursday, Jan. 9, to meet with Betaspring alumni in the Boston area and talk with startups that have applied or wish to apply to participate in the startup accelerator’s spring 2014 session.
Open office hours will be held at the CIC Venture Cafe at One Broadway, Cambridge, Mass., from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information or to schedule a meetup, email info@betaspring.com.
Betaspring provides a 12-week, mentorship-driven program along with work space, seed capital, legal counsel and access to investors and industry experts.
For the spring 2014 session, which kicks off on March 17, the accelerator is seeking “teams with a strong start on a high-growth venture to rapidly transform into fundable, scalable companies.”
The final deadline for applications is Jan. 16, but companies that apply early receive priority review and may be eligible to attend a private event at the accelerator’s Chestnut Street headquarters, a part of the application process typically reserved for finalists.
Since its inception in 2009, Betaspring has helped launch 83 companies, of which 56 are still active. The alumni have raised more than $32 million in follow-on funding, according to Betaspring.
