PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island Blood Center and Dunkin’ Donuts will kick off National Blood Donor Month and the “Give a Pint, Get a Pound” program on Jan. 7.

All during January, every blood donor will receive a coupon for a pound of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.

According to a release, Dunkin’ has been partnering with blood collection agencies throughout the Northeast for years as a way to encourage blood donation during the winter months.

On Monday, Jan. 7, at 9:30 a.m. at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 189 Sockanosset Cross Road in Cranston, representatives from Dunkin’ Donuts and the Rhode Island Blood Center will join Danielle Duzan, whose daughter used considerable blood products in the months following her birth, at a press conference to help kick-start the program.
