PROVIDENCE – Jennifer Hogencamp recently was elected as a partner for BlumShapiro, in its Providence office.
Hogencamp, of Mansfield, Mass., is one of five new professionals to be brought on as partners.
“I’m honored; it’s a great company,” Hogencamp said Thursday. “It’s great to be recognized for all of the effort it took getting to where I am today.”
Hogencamp first started working for BlumShapiro when her company, Sullivan & Co., merged with them.
She leads the firm’s hospitality services group and is heading a team representing a real estate investment company that specializes in acquisition and management of investments in the hospitality industry. Hogencamp has been in public accounting for over 15 years and is a member of BlumShapiro’s accounting and auditing department. She also works with nonprofits, specializing in audit services for educational institutions.
Four other professionals were elected as partners for BlumShapiro. The other partners include Thomas Dearnley in the Quincy, Mass., office, James Harper and William Murray in West Hartford, Conn., and Ronald Nossek in New London, Conn.
According to BlumShapiro, they offer “a diversity of services” that include auditing and tax advisory as well as “specialized consulting services” such as succession and estate planning and litigation support and valuation. One of Hogencamp’s objectives is to develop a marketing plan to bring awareness to these opportunities available through BlumShapiro.
