BofA gives to United Way

PROVIDENCE – Bank of America has donated $175,000 to United Way of Rhode Island to help fund its Critical Needs program, according to a press release from the bank.

The donation was announced at a ribbon cutting and grand opening of Bank of America’s new downtown Providence branch on April 17. Bank of America moved from 111 Westminster to its new banking center at 100 Westminster on April 15.

The Critical Needs program supports hunger relief, shelter and financial wellness. The program provides information and referral services for people in need, as well as seniors and adults with disabilities through the United Way 2-1-1 in Rhode Island and The Point.
