After sponsoring 15 teens in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence Summer Youth Employment program, Bank of America recently hosted an open conversation with the teens who participated in the program.
The teens joined Bill Hatfield, Rhode Island president for Bank of America and five of his colleagues at the bank’s office on 100 Westminster St., Providence to gain insight on their first work experience and to answer questions about their own career choices.
“These young men and women are our future community and business leaders,” said Bill Hatfield, Rhode Island president, Bank of America. “I found their stories deeply moving, and I know the critical skills they’ve learned through the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence Youth Employment program will ensure their future success.”
Bank of America donated $30,000 to the Youth Employment Program this year. The bank also partners with the club on its Student Leaders program, which awards students with paid internships and the opportunity to participate in a Student Leadership Summit held in Washington, D.C. •
