$125,000 for room build-out, $1.3 million total addition.

Use:

The East Providence Boys & Girls Club operates in a space that dates to 1891, a building that originally served as an elementary school. Construction of its gymnasium and the rough finish of two second-floor classrooms was completed by 2011. But a lack of funds delayed the completion. Construction resumed in August 2015 through a $75,000 grant from the Saint-Gobain Corporation Foundation and a $50,000 grant from the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation. Completed in January 2016, the second-floor classrooms and computer lab help the club provide a safe, educational space for 100 to 150 children daily. Teens will get their own dedicated after-school space, as well, thanks to the movement of classrooms upstairs.
