Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick to hold fundraiser with $10K cash auction

WARWICK – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick’s annual “Red Carpet Spectacular” dinner, auction and $10,000 cash raffle will be held April 9 at Warwick Country Club.
The event is the organization’s biggest annual fundraiser and helps to pay for the daily operation of the two Warwick clubs.
This year’s theme is “the red carpet,” and guests are encouraged to dress in business casual – or their best red carpet attire. The event begins at 6 p.m. with an auction item preview. Dinner, silent and live auctions, and the $10,000 raffle begin at 7 p.m. Some of this year’s auction items include tickets to Disney, round-trip flight to Block Island, catered dinners and tickets to major league sporting events. Admission for two, which includes one cash raffle ticket, is $200. Raffle-only tickets are $100 each. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win.
All sales support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick, which serves more than 1,400 local boys and girls. Annual membership dues of $30 are not enough to cover the costs of operating the clubs, but no child is turned away due to an inability to pay.
