Why did you select your profession? It was a family business. My father wouldn’t let me work for him right out of college. He wanted me to work for someone else first so I would appreciate being my own boss. After working in the corporate world for a couple of years I joined the family business.

Where do you see yourself professionally in 10 years? Hopefully, offshore fishing.

What’s the best career advice you’ve received? From my father, “family first.”

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self? Stay focused.

What is your favorite Rhode Island restaurant? Kay’s in Woonsocket.

Is your career arc moving fast enough? Why or why not? Yes, my career arc is moving at a good pace. We are growing, but not too fast, keeping the pace at a level where I love my job and have time to spend with my family. •
