Brain Injury Association to hold annual meeting

WARWICK – The Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island will hold its 15th annual Statewide Brain Injury Conference, Anchoring Hope After Brain Injury, from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m., on March 18 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Warwick.

Dr. Paul Harch will give the keynote presentation, “Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for Traumatic Brain Injury.” The author of “The Oxygen Revolution,” Harch, who has treated U.S. service personnel with traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorders, will review his published findings.

Dr. Neha Raukar and Tom Mezzanotte, executive director of the Rhode Island Interscholastic League, will discuss understanding concussions, concussion management and concussion protocols. After lunch, Donna Nesselbush, a lawyer with Marasco & Nesselbush, will speak on disabilities, concussions and related public policies; and Cristabelle Braden will share her story about the invisible nature of TBI.
