Brave River Solutions launches custom software app

Posted:

WARWICK – Brave River Solutions on Monday announced the launch of a software application developed on behalf of Cumberland Licensing Corp., a nationally recognized licensing company serving the insurance industry.

The custom programmed application, called PinPoint, processes insurance agents’ appointments and terminations. The system provides nationwide services to CLC’s insurance company clients and connects directly to the National Insurance Producer Registry’s gateway and Web services for timely transaction processing.

“The PinPoint application had been initially developed by an offshore software development company who was not able to complete the project to acceptable standards,” said Jim McAssey, president of Brave River Solutions. “We encounter this type of situation more often than you might think. We were glad that we could help get CLC live on the new system and generating ROI for their software development investment.”

With PinPoint, which was written in Microsoft’s .NET technology and based on CLC’s proprietary processes, allows CLC clients to complete appointments and terminations more quickly and includes a bulk upload feature for larger volume customers.

“Brave River was very proficient. They were able to come in and evaluate the partially completed system, and help us to finish the development and rollout in an organized manner,” said Jeff Lemire, president of CLC.
