Brave River launches e-commerce platform

WARWICK – Brave River Solutions has launched a new online storefront for the Gerbs Pumpkin Seed Co. in Johnston, improving the site’s cross-device user friendliness and load speed.
Gerbs – a vendor of high-quality, allergen-free seeds, dried fruits, snack mixes, salad toppers, seed butters, seed meals and granolas – approached Brave River Solutions seeking an e-commerce platform that could be easily updated as the company added new varieties and flavors, as well as improved functionality, checkout and product imagery, Brave River said.
“One of the most important facets of our website development is tailoring our framework to fit the exact requirements of the client,” said Jim McAssey, vice president of Brave River Solutions. “Every business is unique, so having just one solution wouldn’t work for everyone. We take that into account during our development and configuration process and come up with solutions to address the specific needs of each individual client.”
To meet Gerbs’ needs, Brave River built the new website using their proprietary e-commerce and shopping cart system, BRS Commerce, which is designed to allow business owners to update product without any knowledge of programming.
The new site is designed to be user-friendly on all devices – easy to navigate and view on a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
“Organizations interested in implementing online shopping can benefit from the strength and flexibility of BRS Commerce,” said McAssey. “We combine our easy-to-use content management system with the added capabilities of BRS Commerce. This allows for a robust online storefront that has functionality for both B2B and B2C environments. BRS Commerce can work independently, or using our integration module can optionally be tied into an ERP or other backend order management or inventory system.”
