Bridge recycles waste for program

PROVIDENCE – Bridge Technical Talent recycled more than three tons of electronic waste in April, raising $856 in donations for the Providence Center School and the Providence After School Alliance program.
Bridge Technical Talent of North Kingstown is an IT-staffing firm providing contract, permanent and contract-to-hire staffing.
The recycling drive gathered 6,057 pounds of electronics that will now be properly recycled. Office Recycling Solutions, who partnered with Bridge, not only donated the use of their trucks and employees’ time but also helped properly dispose of all the e-waste collected.
The biannual e-waste drive helps reduce the amount of hazardous electronic waste that ends up in community landfills, cutting communities’ dumping costs and protecting the environment while raising money for a good cause.
Bridge plans to host another e-waste drive on Oct. 17 in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
