PROVIDENCE – Bright Night Providence will celebrate its 10th anniversary on New Year’s Eve with a day-long festival starting at noon on Dec. 31.
The festivities will begin at noon and run until 11:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, with the traditional midnight countdown beginning at 11:15 p.m. in Kennedy Plaza.
This year’s festival will feature more than 100 local performers and 13 different venues and exhibits, including the Providence Children’s Museum, the R.I. Convention Center and the Providence Public Library.
After the hour-long opening ceremony at 5:00 p.m. at the Bank of America Skating Center, festival attendees should “be prepared for a night full of culture, talent and celebration,” according to a release.
Guests can visit the Big Nazo puppets in Providence City Hall, where they will be starring in “The Night Shift of City Hall” exhibit, partake from food trucks around Kennedy Plaza and enjoy musical groups throughout the city.
Tickets for Bright Night Providence are currently on sale. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $10 for children in advance and $20 for adults and $10 for children on the day of the festival. Anyone who buys three children’s tickets gets a fourth ticket free.
