Bryant, PC, Stonehill make best undergrad B-schools list

PROVIDENCE – Bryant University, Providence College and Stonehill College all were recognized by Bloomberg Businessweek for being among the best undergraduate business schools in the nation.
The magazine ranked 114 business schools, placing Villanova University first, the University of Notre Dame second, and Boston College third.
Bryant, in Smithfield, ranked highest among local college recognized, at 44th, while Providence College ranked 61st and Stonehill College, in Easton, Mass., was 73rd.
Bloomberg said it ranked undergraduate programs on factors such as employer and student feedback, starting salary and the percentage of the school’s graduates who had at least one internship at any time during college.
It said nearly 30,000 students and recruiters at nearly 600 companies were surveyed to come up with the best undergraduate B-schools list of 2016.
In the starting salary category, Bryant ranked 76th, while PC was 77th and Stonehill, 78th. In comparison, Villanova ranked 29th in that category, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School ranked first – Wharton was 16th on the overall best B-schools list.
