Child & Family will host “Preventing Sexual Abuse and Trafficking” from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Vera Mason Room, first floor, 31 John Clarke Road, Middletown.
Sarah DeCataldo, legal-advocacy-services coordinator for Day One will present information about the sexual abuse and trafficking of young girls and boys in Rhode Island. DeCataldo coordinates the sexual-assault response team with police and the R.I. Office of the Attorney General. She has been a member of and a certified trainer for the statewide law-enforcement domestic-violence/sexual assault training-curriculum committee since 2004. Cost: Members: $10/person (no CEU); $15/person (CEU desired); nonmembers: $25/person (no CEU); $30/person (CEU desired).
