Carol Strohecker has been named vice provost for academic affairs at Rhode Island School of Design. Strohecker served as director of the University of North Carolina’s multicampus Center for Design Innovation. She holds an M.S. in visual studies and a Ph.D. in media arts and studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. •
