Centreville to sponsor Boat Show

NEWPORT – Centreville Bank has signed on as an official sponsor for next month’s 45th annual Newport International Boat Show.
The event is scheduled for Sept. 17 through Sept. 20 and happen on the Newport waterfront along America’s Cup Avenue. One of the largest in-water boat shows in the country, Hal Horvat, chief lending officer at Centreville, says the bank is excited to be playing a role in what he calls “a prestigious event.”
“We can’t think of a nicer place to be than Newport at this time of year, and look forward to what we believe will be another outstanding show,” Horvat said in a statement.
Gail Alofsin, director of corporate partnerships and community relations for the Newport Harbor Corp., says Newport is a destination for boaters from around the world and she’s thrilled to have Centreville take part in the supporting it.
“[The] event draws tens of thousands of visitors to Rhode Island,” Alofsin said in a statement. “As a result of our partnership with Centreville Bank and our other sponsors, this year’s 45th annual show will be even bigger and better than before.”
Centreville Bank, founded in 1828, is headquartered in West Warwick and has assets of $1.02 billion.
