Children’s Museum to honor four

PROVIDENCE – The Providence Children’s Museum’s annual gala will honor four community leaders for their efforts in creating community well being through fun and learning on April 25 at the Providence Public Library.
John Elkhay, owner of Chow Fun Food Group, Mike Tamburro, president of the Pawtucket Red Sox, Laurie White, president of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, and Cliff Wood, executive director of the Downtown Providence Parks Conservancy, will be honored at the ‘Unplugged, The Way to Play’ party.
The event includes cocktails, silent auction, and live auction. Proceeds will benefit the museum, which is an advocate for the role of unstructured play in children’s healthy development. Tickets are $100. Sponsorships start at $1,500. CVS Caremark is the event’s platinum sponsor. Admirals Bank and Collette Vacations are gold sponsors.
